The DuWayne’s Salon Team
DuWayne’s Salon takes pride in providing some of the best stylists in town.

Steve
I began my career in cosmetology right after graduating high school in 1977 and have loved the profession ever since. For 17 years, I had the privilege of working side by side with my dad until the day he passed, and he taught me to listen to your heart, love what you do, and enjoy every day. I feel incredibly fortunate to have worked alongside my sister Terri for over 30 years and to be surrounded by such a talented team at the salon. My goal has always been to create a welcoming environment where our team can be creative, feel heard, and where every guest feels comfortable, cared for, and truly enjoys their visit.

Terri
Terri has been part of Duwayne’s Salon for most of her life and has worked in the beauty industry for over 30 years as both a stylist and manager. Growing up around the salon—where her dad, Duwayne, worked—helped shape her passion for the profession. Terri loves the variety that each day brings and enjoys all services, from color to perms to cuts, depending on what her clients need. What she enjoys most is meeting new people and building lasting relationships while helping every guest who sits in her chair feel confident and beautiful.

Kirsten
I’ve always had a passion for the art of hairstyling and have been in the industry for nine years. I enjoy all aspects of being a stylist, especially color and highlighting, as well as haircutting for men, women, and kids, including textured razor cuts. One of my favorite parts of the job is connecting with my guests and helping them feel comfortable, confident, and at home in my chair.
I live in Madison with my husband, our 2 sons, two dogs, and a cat. My youngest son was born with many medical complexities, and the five years I was blessed to have with him taught me so much about life and compassion. That experience has helped me connect more deeply with my guests and inspires me to help each person feel their best with every visit.

Cheri
Cheri Krueger grew up around the beauty industry with a mother in the trade, and from a very young age the salon and hair studio felt like her playground. It was always her passion, and she loved being able to use her talents to help people feel happy and confident. Cheri enjoys the versatility and creativity of the profession, especially combining cuts, color, and perms to design a look that fits each client’s wants and needs. She also loves the collaboration and teamwork that make working at Duwayne’s such a special environment.

Sean
Sean Scroggins is a barber with about three years of experience in the industry. He specializes in cutting and styling men’s hair, particularly shorter lengths and modern styles, while also creating looks for all genders. Sean enjoys finding styles that complement each client’s face shape, hair texture, and lifestyle. What he loves most about his work is helping clients achieve a look that boosts their confidence. Originally from the Chicago suburbs, Sean is also a big Chicago sports fan.

Randi
I have been a client of Duwayne’s Salon for over 70 years. I worked as a medical technologist at UW Hospitals for 35 years, and after retiring, I began working part-time at the salon. I’ve now been part of the team for over 20 years. I truly enjoy meeting and visiting with our guests—working at the salon never feels like work.

Ruth
Working at Duwayne’s Salon has been the perfect way to round out my career. After 34 years as an elementary school teacher and 39 years as a camp administrator, I’ve enjoyed the last 12 years working part-time as a receptionist. It’s been a wonderful and fun run.

Diane
After 43 years working in state government, I joined the salon as a receptionist to support my husband of 37 years in his successful business. It has been such a joy working alongside Steve and being part of the salon environment. When I’m not helping at the salon, I enjoy playing pickleball, working in the yard, and riding my bike.
