We would like to introduce the newest member of the Duwayne’s Salon team! Meet Ann Rudel. Ann is joining us as a Permanent Makeup Artist and will be providing permanent makeup services beginning in January of 2020. Ann brings a wealth of experience to the salon.
Permanent Makeup, also known as Cosmetic Tattooing or Micropigmentation, is the art of producing designs that resemble makeup to include eyeliner, eyebrows and lips. It is becoming increasingly popular as a means to enhance, correct and simplify a beauty routine. While permanent makeup is considered a form of tattooing, the training, technique, pigments used and device to implant into the skin are quite different. In addition, topical anesthetics are used for comfort during a procedure, unlike most conventional tattoos.
Ann received her initial education at Globally Preferred Academy in 2015. She has recently completed advanced training at The Chicago Academy of Permanent Makeup, and has received certification in scalp micropigmention as well as non-laser tattoo removal and lightening. Ann also has 38 years of healthcare experience in the field of Occcupational Therapy.
